We do not change our status and we work with secular means.

You have given yourselves to the Lord on the specific condition that you do not change your state – that you are not religious, nor assimilated to the religious; that you remain in the world, in perfect communion of life and work with the other faithful of the people of God, who are your equals.

The work that we undertake, the mentality and the means with which we carry it out, the circumstances in which we do it, and the specific formation and asceticism that prepare us for that apostolic work, are things that do not exist in the theological and juridical concept of the religious state.
