Awareness of the divine mission received with vocation

My children, we have a lot of work to do in the world, since God has given us a divine mission. Right from the start, I have invited you to thank him for this sign of his sovereign love, this divine call to serve everyone. God is asking us to fill our hearts with apostolic zeal and forget about ourselves, so as to be concerned for the whole of humanity, in a spirit of joyful sacrifice. Most people with personal problems have them because their egoism makes them think only about themselves. Give yourself, give yourself, give yourself! Give yourself to others and serve them for the love of God. That is the way!

We have to fill the world with light, because ours is a service that has to be carried out joyfully. Wherever a child of God in his Work happens to be, may they be good-humoured, which is the fruit of interior peace. It is the fruit of interior peace and also of dedication: giving oneself to the service of others is so efficacious that God rewards it with a humility full of spiritual joy.

Leading souls to Christ

Nothing can generate greater satisfaction than to lead very many souls to the light and warmth of Christ. These are people whom no one has taught to value ordinary life, for whom the ordinary seems empty and meaningless. They have not been able to understand and be astonished at this great truth: Jesus Christ is concerned with us, even with the smallest, even with the most insignificant person. To all, you have to say, “Christ seeks you out too, as he sought out the first twelve, as he sought out the Samaritan woman, as he sought out Zacchaeus; as with the paralytic: surge et ambula,¹⁴ get up as the Lord is waiting for you; as with the son of the widow of Nain: tibi dico, surge!,¹⁵ I say to you: get up out of your comfort, out of your laziness, out of your death.”

To some, God makes another call (which I love and revere, even though it is not mine or yours), and he invites them to leave the world. But for the great majority of Christians, he wants them to be where they have always been, in their place, in their environment, in their profession, so that they continue being ordinary people and at the same time salt of the earth,light of the world (Matt 5:13-14).
