How to become humble

I now feel moved, my children, to bring to your consideration some ideas that will help you to build upon deep, sincere humility, for whoever despises wisdom and instruction is miserable. Their hope is vain, their labours are unprofitable, and their works are useless (Wis 3:11). But on the other hand, the Lord gave holy people the reward of their labours; guided them along a marvellous way and became a shelter to them by day and a starry flame through the night (Wis 10:17).
