Special proselytism with those of St Raphael

You will carry out your proselytism, then, in a special way with the St Raphael boys and girls, who will be the foremost objects of your attention and your zeal. May God our Lord daily increase your love for this work and your supernatural outlook, so that your zeal ranges forever wider without diminishing its intensity, using as a means to help your work the very souls you are forming.

Zeal for souls

Let me remind you now of some words of St Augustine: “Your faith should see everything in relation to God. Love God above all things, raise yourselves towards God, and everybody you can, drag them towards God. Son, wife or slave, drag them towards God. If he is a stranger, draw him towards God. Your enemy, push him towards God. Drag him, drag him towards God; because, if it is towards God that you bring him, he will not be your enemy for long.”4

Do not forget what Cassian teaches: “There are three classes of vocation. To explain these classes of vocation clearly, we will say that the first comes from God, the second through a man, and the third by necessity. The second class of vocation, as we have said, is obtained through a man, when, through the example or exhortation of some holy persons, we are enkindled in the desire for salvation.”5
