We are interested in all souls

Nevertheless, although we want Our Lord to give us many and good vocations, I insist that what we seek in the first place is the spiritual improvement of all the people, without exception, who with good will draw near to our apostolate.

Therefore, we do not let anyone go away just because there seems to be no likelihood that he or she would fit into the Work. We never forget that, although only some will receive this special grace from God, we are interested in all souls.

Not everyone understands

It should not surprise you that some will drift away, although you have made efforts at selection and friendship; we cannot expect everybody to understand us. Not all men can receive this saying, but only those to whom it is given (Matt 19:11). When this happens, do not become discouraged. Keep on working, with the same effort and the same happiness as always.
