Another means of formation in some of our residences could be to show good quality films – both morally and artistically – and even form a film club, whose members would pay a subscription so as to avoid burdening the house financially.

In fact, many of these activities carried out around the St Raphael work ought to contribute towards the support of the Centre. In this way you will live the “apostolate of not giving”, because people do not appreciate what they don’t have to pay for.

Artistic initiatives

You could also think about organising literary sessions, concerts and other artistic activities, in order to deal with fellows who like these kinds of activities or who attend music academies, schools of fine art, and so forth. This apostolate is very urgent and extraordinarily effective: sit mihi carmen istud pro testimonio (Deut 31:19); let this song be a witness for me, so that art in all its expressions can be a living witness of our Catholic faith and a gentle and powerful influence leading souls to God.
