Children of supernumeraries and of friends
Over time there will come to the Work, through the atmosphere of their families, many children of those friends of ours who, being married, wish to dedicate themselves generously to God in his Work, as well as children of those other loyal friends who do not feel this call.
They are not taken out of their family environment
It is clear that this task has nothing to do with what religious do in their apostolic schools and the dioceses in their minor seminaries, although I have great respect for them. Ours is a secular undertaking, carried out in society, without taking the boys or girls out of their family environment. I even recommend that parents not make it too easy for their children to come to a centre of the Work; they ought to make things difficult for them, although without overdoing this.
It is simply a question of being at the side of these young people and giving them the means that will help them conquer at the beginning of the ascetical struggle, when the first rebellions and the first stirrings of passion begin to appear in their soul.
