Two types of proselytism
This proselytism we are speaking about is very different from that other one which consists in leading souls, with the grace of God, to dedicate themselves personally – I don’t use the word “consecrate”, because that word is proper to the religious – to the service of God and his Church in the Work of God. Such proselytism, in many cases, will be the fruit of the St Raphael work.
Those who give hope for a vocation
When you see that some of the young people who take part in our apostolate are capable of understanding this form of total self-giving, you should give them things to do, entrust them with small responsibilities, and have them help out both in small things like repairs in the house as well as in more important matters. All this will increase the love that will lead them to a vocation and to receive the divine call joyfully.
How the Letters of the Father are written
At this stage, my daughters and sons, I think I should tell you once and for all that when writing these letters I never try to compose a treatise. I write with all the simplicity and warmth of a father or mother writing to their children. Don’t be surprised, therefore, that in the same letter, with evident lack of order, I deal in different places with different aspects of the same thing, and that at times I may appear to repeat myself. I will speak to you about these repetitions later in another document, because there is good reason for them.
