Corporate works

To develop the St Raphael work, it is also useful to set up corporate apostolates with young people. With time they will be more and more varied: the whole range of activities associated with the St Raphael work I was just speaking about.

The first task is and always will be the St Raphael work. For example, we have never started a student residence without first having begun the St Raphael work as best we could, even when material resources were almost completely lacking.

St Raphael’s work must precede and accompany them.

The same can be said of any other corporate apostolate. The St Raphael work has to precede it and accompany it. And so the boys and girls themselves and not infrequently their families too will help with their prayer and their work to procure the material means and everything else needed for that corporate undertaking, which they regard as their own. You will see how they always do so willingly and happily; and it will have the effect of bringing them much closer to the Work.
