Bad advisers concering vocation

Before going further, I want to say something to those of you who have this light in your soul, to you who feel moved from within to seek Christian perfection in the world. Someone who is bound by a spiritual bond or commitment – by a call – must renounce any adviser or any project that is not included in that bond, if he wants to avoid deceiving himself. Working in any other way, there would be as many cliques as there are individuals; supernatural and civil bonds would be rendered ineffective and could even become harmful, because obedience would be destroyed.

Our path is wide

My children, how often people who have never felt the personal restlessness of that divine cry, venite post me!⁵ set themselves to make judgments about the souls of others and to give them advice. Be deeply grateful that you have received the call, and consider that the truth – your calling – has only one path. On this path you can walk slowly, go along with haste, run or jump. In the Work we do not make all souls act in the same way. Nor do we put these creatures in steel moulds, so that they use gestures, manners and words which are foreign to what is found in the world, since we live in the world for God.
