Service falls especially on those in authority

You ought not to forget, in any case, that the mission of service falls especially upon those who have authority in the Church; and the higher one is, the greater the responsibility and obligation of sacrifice.

Carrying the weight of the Church, and trying to produce its continual growth, is a heavy burden. I emphasise this, so that the love which the spirit of the Work makes you feel for those who bear this mission on their shoulders, may increase daily; and so that you ensure that they may always be able to count on the help of your unity and the support of your apostolic work in the middle of the world, among other citizens, your equals.
