Serving the Church everywhere

I am coming to the end, daughters and sons of my soul. With the spirit you have received, be ready to go joyfully wherever the service of God’s Holy Church requires. And wherever you may be, the naturalness of your life as Christian men and women will lead you to be very effective instruments for making all earthly activities supernatural, even in places where the Church is persecuted or the name of Jesus is not known. And, united to the actions of the entire Mystical Body, you will restore all things in Christ (see 1 Cor 15:27-28; Eph 1:10). Don’t forget that I’m not looking for any payment in this world. But God is so good that he grants it to me: your fidelity!

Sincerity and self-denial

Maiorem horum non habeo gratiam, quam ut audiam filios meos in veritate ambulare (3John 4, Vg), nothing gives me more joy than to see my children advancing on the path of truth. Therefore I unite myself once again to Our Lord’s prayer: sanctifica eos in veritate (John 17:17), sanctify them in the truth. And I ask that the sincerity and truth of your self-sacrificing service may always accompany you, as you travel all the pathways of the world.
