Opus Dei loves truth and sincerity

The simple spirit of Opus Dei loves truth and sincerity. It looks to serve the Church, and leads us to respect and defend freedom. Frankly, I cannot understand any other service in God’s cause which would not have at least this love for personal human freedom.

Unity and variety in the Church

We always love, therefore, the unity and the marvellous variety we find in the Church. We venerate, and contribute to promoting the veneration of the instruments of this unity. We appreciate the expressions of catholicity and interior richness which are manifest in the diversity of spiritualities, of associations, of families, and of activities which, in every place and time, give proof of all of them flowing from the one indivisible Spirit (see 1 Cor 12:11) .

For this reason you have to react vigorously when confronted with an apparent service of the Church which undermines the supernatural meaning of any spiritual and apostolic enterprise, or which tries to attack individual freedom or the institutions of Our Mother the Church.
