Apostolate: preparing others to serve generously

When explaining all this, you must also teach people the meaning of the vocation of the children of the Church. Help them to understand that their greatest effort has to be to serve, among other things, with the apostolate of not giving; see to it that they love generosity and detachment, and that they understand that a son of God must work for his Father, without expecting earthly advantages.

It is necessary to keep our supernatural spirit and apostolic zeal alive. We must avoid the trap of seeing the spiritual life only as a diminution of freedom; doctrinal formation, as a heap of unintelligible formulas; and the apostolate, as a kind of added profession for the free hours of the day.

Working in all activities

With your example, prevent many Christians from cowardly abandoning work in many noble and licit fields, leaving them in the hands of enemies of God and his Church. Act decisively, which means forgetting oneself, so as not to fall into the comfortable passivity of those who recklessly abuse divine Providence by waiting for extraordinary help, which the Lord has no reason to give, if we do not use the human resources we have to hand.
